The successful candidate will be a pragmatic and self-motivated individual who can both work on their own initiative and function well within a team. The candidate will be expected to be able to research new technologies, give design recommendations and maintain the infrastructure. NB: Candidate will be required to undertake a basic CRB & KYC check. Responsibilities • Maintain and improve production, staging and development infrastructure. • Ensure that services are secured and intrusion attempts are monitored. • Research new technologies and give design recommendations • Maintain and improve monitoring and alert systems. • Administer user databases and permissions. • Perform releases. Essential skills • Linux system administration (minimum 3 years). • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Good grasp of source control principles. • Strong database administration skills. • Shell scripting.
