Hola, tenemos una magnífica oportunidad de, sin un esfuerzo significativo, lograr con sólo 5 minutos de nuestro tiempo que la Unión Europea diseñe una "Agenda Digital" acorde a nuestros intereses. La Agenda Digital es el principal documento estratégico de trabajo de la Unión Europea en materia de informática y telecomunicaciones. Será el que marque el devenir de los próximos 4 a 5 años de trabajos del Comisariado de Sociedad de la Información que dirige nuestra bien conocida Neelie Kroes. Por ello os pido (¡hacedme caso por una vez, joder!), que le dediquéis sólo 5 minutos a expresar vuestra gran idea sobre qué debería contemplar tal estrategia digital de la UE. You have to register at the Commission Digital Agenda website. For "Organisation" you'd better fill out your local affiliation e.g. "Splitmind Ltd." http://ec.europa.eu/information_society/events/cf/dae1009/menu.cfm 2. Confirm the registration email and log in. 3. Pick a single one of your great ideas from your own imagination, and submit it to the Commission via the web form ("Propose your Ideas"). The submissions are a "Headline" and a "proposal text" with 800 characters maximum. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- Como ejemplo, Andalibre ha aportado la siguiente contribución en pro del uso de formatos abiertos, en sintonía con sus estatutos: === Provide Commission documents always in open and vendor-neutral formats such as ODF Make no sense that today the EU public sector discriminates to citizens forcing them to support exclusive formats from concrete vendors (many times non European ones). This anachronic situation forces the citizens to pay a private tax to such vendors in order to jump over such a barrier to access to the public information, and, additionaly, makes the public institutions dependant of private interests. Today there are widely used open standard formats that avoid such dependencies and remove such barriers. This is the case of open document exchange formats as ODF (ISO 26300:2006 and OASIS ODF 1.2 versions) and the serveral PDF versions (ISO 32000, ISO 19005-1, etc.) It is a must for EU public institutions to democratize their formats avoiding citizenship discrimination based on vendors. === Saludos,
